This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs your use of ProcessMyDocs. By using our Service, you agree to comply with this Policy. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

This Policy is designed to protect ProcessMyDocs, our users, and the general public from harmful, abusive, or illegal activities.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, process, store, or distribute content that:

• Violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Promotes or facilitates illegal activities
• Contains stolen or pirated materials
• Infringes on intellectual property rights (copyrights, trademarks, patents)
• Contains trade secrets or confidential information without authorization

2.2 Harmful or Exploitative Content

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content exploiting minors
• Non-consensual intimate images or "revenge porn"
• Content that promotes, glorifies, or incites violence, terrorism, or self-harm
• Content that harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates individuals or groups
• Content depicting graphic violence, torture, or animal cruelty

2.3 Fraudulent or Malicious Content

• Phishing materials or credentials harvesting documents
• Fraudulent financial documents or forged identification
• Malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Spam, scam materials, or pyramid scheme documents
• Materials designed to deceive or defraud others

2.4 Discriminatory or Hateful Content

• Content that promotes hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Content that incites hatred or violence against individuals or groups
• Extremist propaganda or materials promoting hate groups

2.5 Sensitive Personal Information (Without Consent)

• Personal information obtained without consent or through illegal means
• Documents containing Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, or financial credentials obtained unlawfully
• Medical records or health information accessed without authorization
• Private communications or personal data obtained through hacking or unauthorized access

3. Prohibited Activities

3.1 Abuse of Service

You may not:

• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or other restrictions
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service beyond intended use
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free trials or promotional offers
• Share account credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to ProcessMyDocs without permission

3.2 Technical Abuse

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities of the Service or breach security measures
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
• Launch denial-of-service (DoS) attacks or overload our infrastructure
• Inject malicious code, SQL injections, or other exploits

3.3 Data Scraping and Extraction

You may not:

• Use automated tools to extract data from ProcessMyDocs beyond your own documents
• Scrape or harvest user data, email addresses, or personal information
• Build databases or datasets using data from ProcessMyDocs
• Use extracted data to train AI models or for commercial purposes beyond personal use

3.4 Impersonation and Deception

You may not:

• Impersonate another person, organization, or ProcessMyDocs staff
• Misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
• Use a fake identity or provide false information during registration
• Create accounts using temporary or disposable email addresses for abusive purposes

4. Fair Use of Resources

4.1 Subscription Limits

You agree to respect the limits of your subscription plan:

• Document Limits: Do not exceed your monthly document processing limit (40, 100, or 200 documents)
• Chat Query Limits: Do not exceed your monthly AI chat query limit (15, 50, or 150 queries)
• Bulk Upload Limits: Do not exceed simultaneous upload limits (5, 30, or 100 files)
• Storage Limits: Use reasonable storage space for your documents

4.2 Excessive Usage

We reserve the right to throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that:

• Consistently use 10x or more resources than typical users on the same plan
• Upload extremely large files (>1GB per file) repeatedly
• Process documents in a way that degrades service performance for other users
• Use the Service for purposes inconsistent with typical document processing needs

5. Account Sharing and Security

5.1 Account Ownership

Each ProcessMyDocs account is licensed to a single user:

• You may not share your account credentials with others
• Each user must have their own individual account and subscription
• Business or team use requires separate accounts for each team member
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

5.2 Security Responsibilities

You must:

• Use a strong, unique password for your ProcessMyDocs account
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with others
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
• Log out of shared or public computers after use
• Enable "Remember Me" only on personal, secure devices

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Your Content

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to all documents you upload
• Your use of ProcessMyDocs does not violate any third-party intellectual property rights
• You have consent or authorization to process any personal data in your documents
• Your content does not contain unauthorized copyrighted materials

6.2 ProcessMyDocs Intellectual Property

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute ProcessMyDocs software or code
• Use our branding, logos, or trademarks without written permission
• Create derivative works based on the Service
• Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

7. API and Automation Usage

ProcessMyDocs does not currently offer a public API. Unauthorized automation is prohibited:

• Do not use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to interact with the Service
• Do not reverse engineer the API or backend endpoints
• Do not create unofficial integrations or third-party applications
• Normal browser-based use with manual interaction is permitted

If you require API access for business use, please contact us to discuss official API partnership opportunities.

8. Commercial and Resale Restrictions

You may not:

• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to ProcessMyDocs
• Offer ProcessMyDocs as part of a service bureau or processing service without authorization
• Use ProcessMyDocs to provide document processing services to third parties commercially
• White-label or rebrand ProcessMyDocs as your own service

Permitted Commercial Use: You may use ProcessMyDocs for your own business needs (e.g., processing your company's invoices, contracts, or documents). You may not use it to provide document processing services to external clients unless you have a partnership agreement with us.

9. Monitoring and Enforcement

9.1 Our Rights

We reserve the right to:

• Monitor usage patterns and system access to detect abuse
• Investigate suspected violations of this Policy
• Access your account and documents if we have reasonable suspicion of illegal activity or Policy violations
• Remove or disable access to content that violates this Policy
• Suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice for serious violations
• Report illegal activity to law enforcement authorities

9.2 Automated Detection

We use automated systems to detect:

• Unusual usage patterns or excessive resource consumption
• Potential security threats or malicious activity
• Rate limit violations and automated tool usage
• Suspicious account behavior

We do not routinely read the content of your documents for monitoring purposes, except when investigating reported violations or suspected illegal activity.

10. Consequences of Violations

Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in:

Account termination for Policy violations does not entitle you to a refund of any subscription fees paid. See our Refund Policy for details.

11. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of content or activity that violates this Policy, please report it immediately:

How to Report

• Contact our support team with details of the violation
• Include as much information as possible (account email, date/time, description)
• For illegal content (especially CSAM), mark your report as "URGENT - Illegal Content"
• We will investigate all reports and take appropriate action

Confidentiality

We will keep your report confidential to the extent possible. However, we may need to disclose your identity to law enforcement or as required by legal process.

No Retaliation

We prohibit retaliation against users who report violations in good faith. False or malicious reports, however, may result in action against the reporting user.

12. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through:

• In-app notification upon your next login
• Email notification to your registered email address

Your continued use of ProcessMyDocs after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
